Choosing Office Carpet Colours

Which Office Carpet Material Is Best for Your Workspace?

Each fibre has trade-offs. Here’s how they compare for Dubai offices:

Fibre Strengths Limitations Best for
Nylon (Polyamide) Toughest fibre, springs back under heavy traffic and office chairs Costs more than polypropylene Open-plan floors, corridors, entrances
Polypropylene Lowest cost, resists stains and fading Flattens faster in busy areas Back offices, short leases, budget fit-outs
Polyester Soft feel, rich colours, good stain resistance Crushes under rolling chairs Low-traffic meeting rooms, cabins
Wool Luxurious look, naturally flame-resistant Highest cost, needs more care Boardrooms, executive offices, reception
Sisal Natural, textured, eco-friendly Stains with water, harder to clean Design-led spaces away from pantries
Our recommendation: For most Dubai offices, solution-dyed nylon gives the best balance of durability and cost. It's what our standard office carpet tiles are made from.

Carpet Pile Types for Offices

How Many Carpet Tiles Do You Need?

Our 50 × 50 cm tiles come in boxes of 20 tiles, which covers 5 m². To work out your order:

  1. Measure your floor area in m².
  2. Add 5–10% extra for cutting around walls, columns and doorways.
  3. Divide by 5 and round up to the next full box.

Example: a 100 m² office needs about 107 m² with cutting allowance, so 22 boxes (110 m²). With solid cut-pile tiles at AED 80/m², the tile cost is around AED 8,800 before installation.

Not sure about your measurements? We measure your office for free and include the exact quantity in your quote.

Office Carpets Dubai — Common Questions

Our office carpet tiles start from AED 75 per m². Installation is priced separately, because it depends on your floor area, subfloor condition and layout. We confirm the exact cost after a free site visit and measurement, and send you a clear, itemised quote with no obligation.

Choose tiles for open-plan floors, corridors, receptions and raised access floors, because you can replace one damaged tile instead of the whole floor. Choose wall-to-wall for boardrooms and executive offices, where a seamless, softer finish matters more. Many offices use both.

Dense, low-profile nylon tiles work best. Our standard tiles use a tightly tufted cut pile rated r ≥ 2.4 in the office-chair castor test, so they handle rolling chairs and daily foot traffic. For the heaviest corridors, level-loop tiles are also a strong choice. Tiles let you replace worn squares one at a time.

For most working areas, yes. Carpet absorbs footsteps and echo, grips shoes, and lets you replace single damaged tiles instead of re-flooring. For pantries, washrooms and wet areas, we recommend LVT or vinyl flooring instead.

Our standard office tiles are 100% solution-dyed Polyamide 6 (nylon) on a glass-fibre-reinforced, 100% recycled PVC backing. Each tile is 50 × 50 cm, 6 mm thick and tufted at 159,900 stitches per m². We also stock patterned tiles in regenerated nylon and multicolour level-loop tiles.

Most of our office tiles are 50 × 50 cm and 6 mm thick, the standard commercial size that works in almost every office layout. Our patterned tiles are 61 × 61 cm (24″ × 24″), which suits larger open floors and feature zones.

Usually, yes. Carpet tiles can go over clean, level ceramic, vinyl or sealed concrete. We check your subfloor during the free site visit and include any levelling needed in your quote upfront.

Yes. We supply and install office carpets in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. Delivery and installation times may vary by location.

Yes. Free samples, free on-site measurement and a free itemised quote anywhere in Dubai, with no obligation. We recommend checking samples under your own office lighting before deciding.

Yes. Our standard office tiles carry a Bfl-s1 fire rating under EN 13501-1, the highest class normally achievable for a textile floor covering, with low smoke production. We can share the test certificate if your landlord or fit-out approval requires it.

Yes. Our standard tiles test at ≤ 2.0 kV body voltage (ISO 6356), below the level people usually feel as a static shock, so they’re suitable around computers and IT equipment.

Yes. Our standard tiles are tested at 16 dB impact sound reduction (ISO 717-2), which greatly reduces footstep noise reaching the floor below. Carpet also softens echo in the room compared with hard floors. For meeting rooms that need extra sound control, we can add an acoustic underlay.

Our tiles resist fading very well. They’re solution-dyed, so the colour is locked inside the fibre rather than printed on the surface, and they score 7 out of 8 for light fastness. They hold their colour next to floor-to-ceiling windows and stand up to strong cleaning.

Yes. We make custom carpets and tiles with your logo, brand colours and patterns, most often for reception areas and entrance mats. Send us your logo and floor size and we will prepare a design and quote first.

Most offices take 1–5 working days. Offices under 100 m² are usually done in one day, medium offices take 2–3 days, and full floors take 3–5 days. Evening and weekend fitting is available, so your office stays open.

Yes. We replace damaged tiles, re-stretch loose wall-to-wall carpet and fix failed seams and edges, including on carpets we did not originally install.

Vacuum busy areas daily or at least three times a week, and book a professional deep clean every six months. Blot spills straight away rather than rubbing them.
