Our rubber flooring lasts 12 to 15 years in commercial use and longer in homes. Thickness, foot traffic and cleaning all affect it. Sweep it regularly and mop it with a pH-neutral cleaner, and it will reach the upper end of that range.
Rubber flooring resists moisture, but it is not fully waterproof. Water sits on the surface instead of soaking in, which makes it a good fit for garages, ablution areas and poolsides. Water can still travel through the seams between tiles, so we seal or glue the edges in wet areas.
New recycled rubber has a mild rubber smell for the first two to three weeks. The smell fades faster if you ventilate the room. EPDM and vulcanised sheet rubber give off much less odour, so we recommend those for enclosed spaces like clinics and nurseries.
Yes, but choose EPDM for anything in direct sun. EPDM holds its colour under UV, while recycled SBR fades over time. Both handle Dubai heat without cracking or shrinking.
Yes, if you choose interlocking tiles. They lock together and need no adhesive, so you can lay them on a clean, dry, level floor yourself. Rolls need glue, a notched trowel and a heavy roller, so we recommend our team fits those.

Sweep or vacuum it, then mop it with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid solvents, bleach and strong degreasers, because they break down the rubber surface. Wipe up spills as they happen and dry the floor afterwards.
