For daily congregational use, 11mm to 13mm works best. It cushions the knees and forehead during sujood without feeling soft underfoot when standing. Lower pile suits corridors and entrances, where footfall is heavier and cleaning is more frequent.
100% heatset polypropylene, woven in Turkey and Egypt. The heatset treatment locks the yarn twist so the pile resists flattening under thousands of foot passes a week. It is also colourfast and cleans with normal vacuuming.
GSM is the carpet’s weight in grams per square metre. Ours range from 2,300 to 4,000 GSM. Higher GSM means denser pile, better sound absorption in a hard-walled hall, and longer life before the carpet starts to flatten.
