The client had a brand-new, empty apartment on a high floor in Dubai Marina. The apartment needed a floor that looked warm and modern, handled Dubai’s heat and daily use, and could be installed quickly and cleanly.
The layout also had a large living area, a long hallway and several rooms. This meant the planks had to line up smoothly from one space to the next.
Our Solution
We recommended oak-look laminate flooring. Its warm honey tone suits the white walls and the bright Marina views. It is also strong, easy to clean and good value.

How We Did It
- Subfloor check: Before starting, we checked that the subfloor was clean, dry and level. A good floor always starts with a good base.
- Underlayment installation: We laid the underlayment from the balcony doors toward the hallway. It adds sound reduction, moisture protection and a softer feel underfoot.
- Plank mixing: We mixed planks from different boxes so the grain and color look natural across the whole floor.
- Laminate installation: We checked the starting line carefully, then clicked the planks together row by row. We left a small expansion gap near the walls so the floor can move safely in Dubai’s heat.
- Hallway and door areas: The planks run lengthwise toward the hallway, which makes the apartment feel longer and more open. We made careful cuts around the door frames for a clean finish.
- Final touches: We fitted the skirting boards, checked all joints and gaps, and cleaned the site.
The Result
In one day, an empty apartment became a warm and finished home. The client received:
- A smooth, seamless floor from the living room to the hallway
- Tight joints and a natural wood look
- A durable surface made for daily life in Dubai
