Nova Floor team recently completed a luxury SPC flooring installation in a Palm Jumeirah home in Dubai. The project was finished on 16 September 2026. The homeowner wanted a bedroom that feels calm, bright, and high end. A light wood SPC floor in a chevron pattern gave them exactly that.
Project Overview
Palm Jumeirah homes are known for their style, and this room was no exception. It already had classic wall panels, soft floor length curtains, and warm ceiling lights. Now it needed a floor to match. The client chose SPC because it is waterproof, strong, and easy to look after. The chevron layout added a timeless touch that suits a luxury interior.
Preparing the Floor
Good flooring starts below the surface. Our team cleaned the room and checked the sub-floor before any plank was laid. The surface had to be flat, dry, and clean. This step helps the new floor stay stable and look neat for many years.
Installing the Chevron Pattern
Chevron flooring needs care. The planks are cut at an angle so the ends meet in a sharp V shape. Our installers marked a centre line first and started from the middle of the room. They then worked outward, plank by plank, so the pattern stayed straight and balanced.
Extra care went into the edges. The team fitted the floor neatly around the door frame and along the wall panels and skirting. The close up below shows the tight joints and the natural wood grain. You can also see how the morning light plays across the surface.
The Final Result
The finished floor has a soft, warm oak tone with a light grey touch. It blends well with the cream walls and beige curtains. The zigzag pattern draws the eye across the room and makes the space feel wider and more elegant.
Once the furniture was in place, the bedroom looked like a boutique hotel suite. The neutral floor keeps the mood peaceful, while the chevron lines add just enough character.
Why SPC Works So Well in Palm Jumeirah Homes
- It is waterproof, which is great for humid coastal areas.
- It is tough and handles daily footsteps and furniture well.
- It has a realistic wood look without the upkeep of natural wood.
- It is easy to clean with a simple sweep and a damp mop.
