Nova Floor team recently completed a laminate flooring project at a villa in Jumeirah Park, Dubai, on 6 September 2026. The homeowner wanted a warm, natural wood look for the main living space, along with a floor that could handle daily family life without much upkeep. Getting the Space Ready

Before any planks went down, the team cleared the living room and checked the sub-floor for level and moisture. A thin underlayment was rolled out across the entire area to smooth out small imperfections and cut down on noise when walking across the room. The crew paid close attention to the sliding door leading out to the garden. Since natural light floods this side of the villa, the team chose a plank direction that would highlight the wood grain as sunlight hits the floor throughout the day.

Installing the Laminate Planks

The installers worked in a floating layout, locking each plank into place without glue or nails directly into the sub-floor. This method allows the floor to expand and contract naturally with Dubai’s temperature swings, which keeps the surface flat over time. Planks were laid in a classic straight pattern, running the length of the room to make the open-plan living and dining area feel wider.

Extra care went into the edges near the wall units and around the fireplace-style feature wall on the far side of the room. The team trimmed each plank by hand so the fit stayed tight and clean, without visible gaps.

The Final Result

Once the last plank was locked in, the room came together quickly. The beige sectional sofa, soft area rug, and green accent cushions now sit on a warm oak-toned floor that ties the whole living space together. Sunlight from the sliding door bounces off the planks and brings out the natural wood pattern, giving the room a bright, welcoming feel.
