About the Project
Nova Floor team recently completed an LVT flooring installation at a residence in Town Square, Dubai. The client wanted a warm, natural wood look that could handle daily wear without the upkeep of solid wood, so we recommended light oak LVT planks for the bedroom.
Old Floor Removal & Preparation
Before laying the new flooring, the existing bare concrete sub-floor was cleared and prepped. A silver underlayment sheet was rolled out across the room first. This layer smooths out small imperfections in the concrete, adds a bit of cushioning underfoot, and helps block moisture from reaching the LVT planks above.
LVT Plank Installation
With the underlayment in place, our team began laying the light oak LVT planks in a staggered pattern, working from one corner of the room toward the window. Each plank was tapped into place with a rubber mallet and tapping block to lock the edges together tightly, while a tape measure and utility knife were used on site to trim planks to size around the walls and corners.
Finished Result
The finished floor runs edge to edge with a clean, consistent plank pattern and a light oak finish that pairs well with the room’s navy accent wall and sheer curtains. The LVT surface gives the space a bright, natural wood look while staying easy to clean and durable for everyday use.
