Commercial Gym Flooring Installation in Business Bay, Dubai

The Nova Floor team recently completed a commercial gym flooring project in Business Bay, Dubai. The client had a bare, empty unit on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows and a full view of the Business Bay skyline. The goal was simple. Turn this open space into a strong, safe, and good looking training floor that could handle daily heavy lifting.

Starting Point

Before installation began, the space was a plain concrete floor with an exposed grey finish. One wall already had a red brick feature wall, which later became a nice contrast against the new flooring. The rest of the room was empty, waiting for the right surface to support a full gym setup.

The Flooring Solution

We installed interlocking rubber tiles across the entire training area in a deep red tone. This flooring type is built for commercial gyms because it handles heavy weight drops, constant foot traffic, and daily wear without breaking down. The tiles used on this project fall within our standard gym range, with thickness options between 10mm and 20mm depending on the load a gym expects.

Our Rubber flooring for gyms also holds up well in Dubai’s climate. It resists UV exposure, does not warp under heat coming through large glass windows, and stays non toxic and safe for daily use. For a gym with this much natural light pouring in from floor to ceiling glass, that heat and UV resistance mattered a lot in choosing the right material.

Installation Process

The team measured the full space, prepped the bare concrete sub floor, and laid the interlocking tiles in a clean, tight pattern with barely visible seams. Nova Floor projects like this one are usually finished within one to five days depending on the size of the space, and this Business Bay unit followed that same timeline without any delays.

Final Result

Once the flooring was down, the rest of the gym equipment moved in. Dumbbell racks, kettlebells, a full power rack with mirrors, and flat and adjustable benches were placed across the room. The deep red flooring paired well with the exposed brick wall and gave the whole space an energetic, professional gym feel, all while looking out over the Business Bay skyline.
